Jan van de Pavert

The three-dimensional works of Jan van de Pavert (1960, Netherlands) is typified above all by architecture. He uses software to create his own thought-up spaces. These maquettes of his appear realistic at first glance but Van de Pavert has not the blindest interest in the technical specifications of received wisdom as to what form a building ought to have. These are conceptual thinking models regarding space, the apportioning of space, and the opening-up of space. Besides models, his oeuvre at large encompasses videos, animations, drawings, wall paintings and even wallpaper.
