Peer Veneman’s (1952, the Netherlands) work achieves an almost perfect symbiosis between the organic and abstract. On the one hand it demonstrates his firm belief in the power of the image, and on the other his strong urge to innovate, which isn’t limited solely to the formal pairs of sculpture/form, painting/the surface and architecture/spatial construction, but also applies to his own implicit tendencies.
