Melle van Herwaarden

Drawing and painting are central to the work of visual artist Melle van Herwaarden (1995, Amsterdam). In his works, he depicts people and characters from his environment. Van Herwaarden draws inspiration from archive material. The figurative work explores the representation of the human figure and its environment. The end results are scenes in which the viewer can easily identify.
