Ludmila Danon
Through her medium and method, the French-Dutch painter Ludmila Danon (1952, Morocco) enacts more than just an image. She captures the ever-changing experience of nature which is the root of almost all her work. The expressive moment is relived through paint, recognizing the abstraction inherent in light, water, and the sensitive gaze. Once applied to the canvas it blends and mixes, or is rejected by previous layers of paint. The resulting work renders concrete that term, vague and faded due to frequent use, “atmosphere”.
