Florence di Benedetto
My research focuses on telling the stories that touch me the most with a very personal and often symbolic approach. I believe that photography can generate empathy, emotion and interest and create deep connections.

The French-Italian artist Florence di Benedetto (1975, Italy) works as a fashion and still life photographer and is interested in the interplay between photography and painting. For some of her works, the artist draws inspiration from the technique of Kintsugi, a Japanese art form in which broken objects are repaired by mending the cracks with lacquer mixed with gold, silver, or platinum. This practice embraces the idea of highlighting and celebrating the history and imperfections of an object while transforming it into a unique and beautiful piece.
