Terry Frost

Sir Terry Frost (1915-2003, Great Britain) was one of Britain's most successful and acclaimed artists of the twentieth century. In 1998 he was knighted for services rendered during the New Year Honours list. Frost discovered his artistic talent when he was detained as a prisoner of war during the Second World War. After the war he returned to England to study at the Camberwell Art Academy, where he was supported by Victor Pasmore, amongst others, to develop an interest and fulfil a leading role in geometric abstraction.
