Preta Wolzak (1976, the Netherlands) is a multi-talented artist who mainly creates large works by combining hand embroidery with leather and fabric appliques on a background of photos. Wolzak wants to use needle and thread, a medium that is at odds with the pace in which we live, to pay tribute to key figures from certain periods of time while being critical within her work towards how mankind treats the earth.
