Gerda ten Thije (1961, the Netherlands) paints, draws and makes graphics. The cultivated landscape returns in various forms in her work. Silent places such as parks, ponds, wasteland and meadows form the leading motifs in the universe of cultural landscapes that Thije creates, and make the viewer think about what signifies nature for us.
