Emo Verkerk (1955, the Netherlands) is a Dutch artist whose main focus is on painting and drawing. Portraiture occupies a central position in his work, without restricting himself through realism and conventions. His work shows reality the way it’s experienced; a reality in which colors and shapes have a mind of their own and in which his vivid imagination always manages to surprise the viewer.
