Angus Fairhurst
Angus Fairhurst (1966 - 2008, Scotland) had a fascination for gorillas which is reflected in the various media in which he worked such as drawings, paintings, sculptures and installations. His first cartoon drawings therefore show humans and animals in strange domestic or comical situations. He also touches on subjects such as desire, sex, death, the emptiness of gestures or the power of advertising, which he always works out with a distinct, absurd sense of humor.
