Aisling Hedgecock
The composition is very intuitive, as if the drawing were growing organically under my hands.

Aisling Hedgecock (1979, Ireland) is intrigued by the evolution of complex and organic-looking structures. The sculptures remind the spectator of growth patterns familiar to us from nature, such as seabed coral forests. Hedgecock uses one-part replicas of organic forms and one part her own imagination or ideas loosely suggested by molecular structures. In comparable fashion, Hedgecock when working on paper is also out for the underlying algorithms and geometrical relationships in nature. Minutely-detailed line drawings reveal undulating, flowing forms and structures that appear to take shape intuitively, organically.
