The portrait "Oba" is an portrait after an Benin Bronze bust. The painting displays the greatness of Africa in its arts. For these bronze artworks were made during the medieval time. For Africa has also an medieval period on its own continent which these artworks bare witness of. This portrait is also an reclaiming act of the artworks that have been stolen by the British and are now displayed in different Western museums. Even though the terracottas and the bronze pieces are not in display in the African country of origin but in Europe which could not believe that these masterpieces were crafted by Africans.
