Aurora (2023) is a painting from the Paradaidha serie – the old Persian word for a walled garden – an atmospheric, almost mystical painting that appears to crack open and give off light, in which celestial bodies and reflections merge in a shimmering and vibrant colour field of greens and yellows that seems to transcend the canvas.⁠(Esther Darley⁠)

“From the word Paradaidha the word Paradise is derived. What I like about this word is that it precedes paradise and does not carry the Christian connotation. The fenced garden is a metaphor for the frame of the painting. The edge of the painting is the fence, within this field it must take place. "⁠
