Thomas Trum

Thomas Trum’s (1989, the Netherlands) work revolves around the innovative research into paint and techniques. Using the studio as a place for experimentation, he brings painterly surfaces, such as paper, canvas and walls, to life. Super-sized felt pens, road marking machines and brushes attached to drills all become means for making his painterly mark. Trum pioneers by trusting in trial-and error: the results of his actions are never pre-determined, but always vibrant and full of velocity.
