After spending years reevaluating and restating the complexities of depiction by reproducing the illusionary, chemical spontaneity of the polaroid picture in paint, the work of Lise Haller Baggesen (1969, Denmark) has evolved into a hybrid, research-based practice that includes writing, (audio) installations, performative, curatorial, and textile based works. Regardless this great diversity, the core theme was the same then as it is now—through her art she stridently explores the conceptual framework through which we perceive womanhood and femininity.
