Kévin Bray

I essentially want to make something intense, but not something that takes over your entire life.
Kévin Bray via Metropolis M, 2025

Kévin Bray (1989, France) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores how digital technologies shape the stories we tell, the images we create, and the realities we inhabit. Working across video, animation, painting, sculpture, sound, and computer graphics, Bray investigates how different media influence one another and how their visual languages structure our understanding of the world. Drawing inspiration from art history, science fiction, gaming culture, and dystopian narratives, he often deconstructs the codes of one medium and translates them into another. His sculptures combine 3D-printed forms with glass, metal, cables, and found objects, while his digital works move fluidly between virtual and physical space. By making the construction of his works visible, Bray reveals how fiction, technology, and material reality continuously shape one another, encouraging viewers to reflect on the growing impact of digital systems on everyday life.
