Jongsuk Yoon
My ideas take shape on the canvas as I paint. The finished image is not in my head. It is the painting itself that tells me what to do.
Jongsuk Yoon (1965, South Korea) is an artist who explores her own world of inner peace and meditation through painting. Her paintings come to life during moments of deep meditation and intense concentration, establishing a profound connection between her inner world and the canvas. Yoon's works are characterized by muted colors and frequent changes in perspective, landscape elements and gestures. These aspects evoke memories of Asian calligraphy, where artistic expression serves not only as a visual representation, but also as an expression of inner emotions. It is as if her brushstrokes convey the language of her thoughts and feelings onto the canvas.
