Hiroyuki Matsukage

Hiroyuki Matsukage (1965, Japan) photographs Japanese models posing as Western stereotypes. The portrait, 'Milk', was created as part of the series 'Beautiful Woman'. The link with a Dutch milk-maid is obvious. His portraits, such as Japanese cowgirls and Heidi’s are filled with humor while mocking our prejudices towards both Western and Asian culture.
