Domenico Bianchi
For Domenico Bianchi (1955, Italy) his studio is his laboratory where he performs experiments with various materials such as wax, wood, earth and found objects. These materials also serve as a starting point for his work. The figures in Bianchi's work, therefore, do not directly refer to visible reality. Every work of art is constructed slowly and carefully by the artist. Interwoven and intertwined lines that have been deliberately formed by the successive wax layers come together to form a central motif in each work of art.
