Adam Colton
What you see is a result of a lot of research. Looking and thinking and puzzling in my mind, I make a lot of small model.
Adam Colton
Adam Colton (1957, United Kingdom) always works from a tangible basic premise: the organic construction of the body. The shapes of his sculptures are often based on bone fragments, enlarged to an extreme degree and Colton’s ‘Silver-series’ resemble the human brain. Yet Colton is not so much concerned with representation of the human or animal body: he is on a quest for a complex interplay of rhythm, dimension and superficial structure in the skin of his sculptures.
