Heringa/Van Kalsbeek Art Zuid

As part of the Art Zuid Tour the AkzoNobel Art Foundation proudly exhibits the documentary ‘Future Past Glory’ and a selection of innovative and colorful artworks by Heringa/Van Kalsbeek. Since 1998 the AkzoNobel Art Foundation has been collecting artworks by Heringa/Van Kalsbeek and following their career closely.

The documentary shows the making of the artwork ‘Future Past Glory’ (2018) at the Beatrixpark; a large scaled headpiece, honoring the work and life of Amsterdam’s first female urban planner Jakoba Mulder (1900 –1988). The form of the headpiece in ‘Skill to the Full’ (2016) was traditionally intended to protect the body and impress with its rich decoration; for the artists an appealing blend of polished and raw beauty.
