Saskia Noor van Imhoff
Leaves are made of organic substances. They fall and decay. That process, as humans we really can’t contend with it. But we keep trying to hold on to things.

There is no such thing as “a work” in Saskia Noor van Imhoff’s (1982, the Netherlands) oeuvre. The indefinite of the individual, the delineated, is exchanged for the indefinite of mass, the multitude and the perpetual. Stubbornly independent from the elements we’re used to constructing our systems with, the materials in her ever growing archive coalesce into dynamic constellations, finding meaning in their mutability, and continuously finding new meanings because of their mutability.
