Reinoud Oudshoorn

It’s a white wall, a desire of some sort to make something happen.

Perspective, as one would find in the illusionary language of painting, is taken by Reinoud Oudshoorn (1953, the Netherlands) and consequently applied to sculpture. It’s his attempt to bridge the gap between a surface’s forced perspective and the concrete reality of three-dimensional objects. Oudshoorn’s sculptures begin with a white surface which slowly transforms into a three-dimensional space as the artist stares at it.
