Everyday life is Niels Post’ (1972, the Netherlands) greatest source of inspiration. The last few years he has been drawing on the endless source of spam in his junk mailbox. Post gratefully uses the computer-generated texts that pop up - not addressed to anyone in particular - as material for his work. Isolated and executed as wall sculpture, space-filling installation or intervention in public space, the generic texts get the power of a secret message.
